Global Design Project 009

I love the Global Design Challenge Cards each week and this week is no different!  My GDC friends have come up with a colorchallenge that I thought was a bit tricky at first, but I love how my cards came out!

GDP009 Challenge

So, when I was trying to figure out what to make, it occured to me that the Project Life Hello December colors were similar, I got my card pack out and was immeadiately sure of what I was going to do!

I just love the look of these two cards with simple layering and just a few little touches to embellish!

3 Trees Project Life by Stampin Up 3×4 Card

This one is my favorite!  I love how clean and simple the card is and how easy it was to make!

3 Trees Project Life Card by Stampin Up

First of all, the base of the card is the PL card from the Hello December Card Pack.  I punched 3 of the largest stars from the Stars Confetti Border Punch in Silver GLimmer Paper.  In order to really increase the shiney look of the silver metallic, I added some Metalic Thread to the bottom.  Perfect!

3 Trees Project Life by Stampin Up Card

I adhered the silver stars with the new fine-tip glue.  I knew it needed a bit more so I stamped the greeting to pull in the Taupe.  I used And Many More.

Embellished Project Life Card

One last touch was needed to pull in the Watermelon: Confett Heart Border Punch and one of the largest earts added to the tree.  LOVED it!

Detail of stamping on my card

Last I was debating the card base being either Vanilla or Taupe and I decided to pull in the Taupe and stamped some snowflakes from the Project Life Hello December Stamp set.  Perfection!

Large Tree Project Life Card By Stampin Up

Of course I couldn't stop there!  When do I ever make one card?!  So I loved this single tree Project LIfe card and turned that in to another lovely card.  After all, I had a bunch of confetti Hearts I needed to use!

  3. Love your cards, Dena. Don’t think I could pick a favorite. They are so pretty and delicate. The “bottle brush” tree is one of my favorite styles.
