This month our focus is Creating with Color! SUCH a fantastic theme, if you ask me! I LOVE color!! I think it is such an important part of card making and I LOVE all the different ways you can use color in card making and rubber stamping!
I have created 3 projects, each using different coloring methods! You'll have to let me know which method is your favorite in the comments below!
The first card is colored with Sponge Daubers–and it is so easy to do! Just stamp in Black in and sponge the color over the top!
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Peekaboo Peach
- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 Melon Mambo
- 3 3/4 x 5 Whisper White
- 1 x 4" Whisper White
- Black Memento, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz and Melon Mambo Ink Pads
- Sponge Daubers
- Clear Wink of Stella
- Dimensionals
The colors are bright and fun–LOVE it!
Isn't it cute?! The Perennial Birthday Set is AWESOME for this technique, but would also work with the other techniques shown below!
Next is my FAVORITE technique: Watercolor! So much fun and very easy to do (but especially when you have watercolor paper!)
The watercoloring is so easy to do–I embossed the butterfly and then colored with the aquapainters and ink pads
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Rich Razzleberry
- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 Watercolor Paper
- 3 5/8 x 4 7/8" Elegant Eggplant
- Aqua Painters
- Beautiful Day Stamp Set
- Versamark Ink, White (or Clear) Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat gun
- Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberrry, and Elegant Eggplant Ink Pads
- Silver Metallic thread
- triple Banner Punch
This is such a beautiful (and a little out of the box color combo for me!) I know this would be stunning in lots of different colors, too! This card is soooo stunning! It features the new Sale-a-bration release of the Springtime Foil DSP–just gorgeous–and the coloring features my second favorite coloring technique, Stampin Blends!!
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Pool Party
- 3 3/4 x 5 Copper Foil
- 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 Springtime Foil DSP
- Pool party and Old Olive Blends Combos
- Color Lifter
- Colorful Seasons Stamp Set
- Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon
The coloring is simple–but just looks so stunning on the Foil DSP! The foil is kind of glossy, so the blends take on a bit of a watercolored look when coloring on them, which is very fun!

How can you ask us to pick a favorite? It’s like asking “which child is your favorite”…LOL. They are all wonderful in their own way. I was surprised by the dauber one, enchanted by the watercolor butterfly BUT wowed with the foil DSP one…gotta love that DSP. Mine arrives next week. Thanks for sharing all three.
