Marilyn!!! Congrats--I'll get your awesome prize to you soon!!
Reminder: My STAMP YOUR ART OUT all day event is next Saturday--if you'd like to join us, please RSVP to me at drekow@yahoo.com ASAP. Cost is $50 if you pay by today or $55 after today. The best part is what a great deal it is...we will have a full day of stamping projects, a goodie bag worth over $40 and even lunch!! Do you want to join us but you live too far away? I can make the projects for you and you'll get everything (well, except the lunch) plus the cost to ship it to you...I promise you won't be disappointed! Let me know if you have questions!!
And I played hookey yesterday--it was my friend Julie's Birthday so we went to Des Moines for lunch (okay, we shopped, too!!) We ate at Cheesecake factory--and would you believe I did NOT order cheesecake????? I really wanted to but since I will be wearing a bathing suit in a few short weeks on the beaches of Hawaii, I thought I'd be a good girl. It was hard! We made Julie get a piece, though! :)
Speaking of Hawaii, I went shopping and got a bunch of ADORABLE stuff at J.Jill. Unfortunately the shopping opportunites here are how do we say....limited!! So, it was fun to go to the big fancy mall!! I also successfully took Andy's new car and managed to come home safely--no spin outs or roll overs--and I was thrilled to have taken my seatbelt off without dropping to the roof of the car! That was a nice treat...see this post if you are wondering what the heck I am talking about! :)

She used Toile background, A rose is a Rose and Together forever.
Colors are Tegal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful blue, mellow moss and handsome hunter. A little rose grosgrain is so pretty!!
This fun card is based on one from a catalog sampler, I believe...

I recieved this card in a swap a while back and I just love it...how perfect would this be for a kid birthday???
The colors are Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Close to cocoa. This is one of my absolute favorite color combos as it is...
The set, Cute as a bug is used along with the square punches and a little crystal effects on the catepillar. :)
FUN!!
Here is a pretty card--another swap I recieved and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT...this dang chick is so cute it is really quite rediculous!!! The colors are Soft Sky, Groovy Guava and So Saffron.
The chick is done by stamping and creating a "REVERSE MASK" where you cut out the egg but leave the rest so you can stamp the dots on top of the egg, then sponge them. You could also just stamp the egg and cut it out and glue it on top of the chick part.
The Boho Flower, horizontal slot, ticket corner, designer label and 1 1/4" punches are used, too! ADORABLE!!
Here is a fun, happy swap card!! The colors are bold and fun: Craft White, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Old Olive, and Tempting Turquoise.
The stamps are Stitched Exotics. The center of the flower has some chunky glitter for a bit of glitz!
LOVE IT!

Here are some great cards from the new catalog...
Here is a swap card that I recieved--though it is for Valentine's day, I think it would also make a great Wedding card.
Colors are Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss and whispwer white.
The heart is from A Happy Heart and is embossed in white.
The top note was diecut once in kiwi and a second time in Raspberry Tart (then trimmed). THe ribbon is the wide double stitched rose red, and the greeting is punched with the Word Window punch.
CUTE!!
This card was made by a Stampin Up Rock star--and I do mean that....I recieved it in a swap at my Leadership trip in Orlando and it was made by a lady named Janet Baker. She is the Second Demonstrator in Stampin up--meaning she was second to join only behind Shelli (the founder and CEO). Her demo number is #2 (mine is in the 18000's).
This card is so cool because it is really unique! She used the Petal Pizazz set with Sanded background and the Urban Oasis printed paper, Hugs and Wishes for the greeting and the colors are Sahara Sand, Kiwi Kiss, and Baja Breeze. THe Swirls Scribbles die was used in the back in basic gray. The larger flower has a jumbo eyelet in the center with kiwi ribbon tied on...VERY cool!!
This card was done using the Cheep Talk set--one of the really fun one if you just can't get enough of those birds!
The colors are Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper white.
The ribbon is kiwi and the scallop border punch was used, too! CUTE!!
This one came together super quick!
When I first saw this set, I figured there was no way I was going to get it--I have several tree sets (and they are my fav's)...but I had to get this one after I thought about it a little...stop laughing Deb!!
The best part about this one is how easy it is to use...the tree is stamped in Basic Gray and the leaves are Kiwi. The paper is from Urban Garden and the ribbon is Kiwi striped. The happiness is from Warm Words...SO PRETTY!!
This pretty card is one sort of based on a card I saw on my Leadership trip in Jan. The colors are Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, and Basic Gray. The rose is colored in pink and the petals not colored in pink are colored in glitter! The ribbon is the new Organza ribbon..fun!!
Oh, the stamp set is Fifth Avenue Floral! :)

Hope you enjoyed yesterday's cards...be sure to read to the bottom!! Here is some more fun for today!
Oh no, an origional idea from Dena...Shocking! I truly don't come up with a huge amount of stuff on my own--I get inspiration from parts and pieces of things from all over the place...maybe a card template here, a color combo there, and of course I do flat out copy (or CASE which stands for Copy And Share Everything). That sounds better, doesn't it!?
This card is my own. I started by doing the polkadot texture plate on the kiwi card. I added a top note die from the Raspberry Tart Cardstock. I used a Pretty's flower and then stamped a polkadot punches circle punched it out and layered it with a kiwi circcle. The scallop is actually stamped from the Polkadot punches set as well--just can't see it in this photo. They are all attached with a Soft Subtles brad adn then I added a couple of leaves from the build a flower die sizzlit pack.
The Thanks was embossed in white and is from the set Thank You Kindly. VERY pretty, If I can say...
Here is another card--I did the texture plate on the card, cut a top note in kiwi and then cut part of one from the Raspberry Tart paper--trimmed the edging off and layered it.
Added a ribbon, the Filigree brad and stamped using the set Yummy.
Ribbon is Kiwi striped and pink taffeta.
This is a copy from somewhere! :)
I recieved this one in a swap--I like how simple it is! I may change the colors a bit but is works!
The bacground is done with the Textures plates and then Congratulations is from the set, Congrats.
Colors are Tangerine Tango, Apricot Appeal and Whipser White with Basic Black ink.
This one in pinks would make a great wedding or baby girl card...and blues for a boy!
Here is another great one--I copied this from somewhere...
The colors are Old Olive, Regal Rose and Very Vanilla. The flower was diecut from the Build a Flower die. THe Yummy stamp set was used and I colored it with markers.
THe eyelet border punch is so pretty--It just works! :) I think we will make this one in my FREE class next week (free if you purchased at least $50 during the month of Feb.).
This great card is one I think my swap buddy, Liz came up with...
The stamps are Botanical Blooms and colors are So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand and Certainly Celery.
The delicate dots paper (SAB) was used along with some holes poked with the mat pack.
The brad is the colored flower brad...and a little ribbon from the SAB catalog!
The words are from Three Little Words...

How cute is this one? I am particularily proud of this beauty as I actually came up with it on my very own (honestly, that doesn't happen too often--I copy a LOT).
The colors are Kiwi Kiss, Baja breeze, and whisper white. I used the Die cut blooms, Button Bouquet, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches, a poker to free-hand the stem and some kiwi satin ribbon.
