Hey everybody!! I am super pumped to be part of this amazing group of ladies in the Creation Station Blog Hop!! You were just at the AMAZING Sara's blog--thanks for stopping by! This week's hop is dedicated to THE NEW CATALOG and Father's Day!
I am loving all the new stamp sets and products in the new catalog and I wasn't sure where to start with all the new goodies, so I grabbed 2 sets: Stamp A Bag and Layered Letters. I think it is so easy to get overwhelmed with all our "stuff" and so sometimes it helps to just limit what you pull out!
I was thinking it would be fun to come up with some customized cards and the Layered Letters alphabet was PERFECT!
This card was simple and quick to make--and to the point! Just Crumb Cake Cardstock, White and Early Expresso Inks and viola! I think this is perfect for one of my kids to give to their Dad! But I couldn't be done with just that...
So, my husband and I are REALLY into Movie Quotes. Like we can have entire conversations in movie quotes. It is really sad and pathetic, as I am certain we could put our memory and brain power to much more admirable things like solving world hunger, but it is our thing! So can you name this quote? It is from Lethal Weapon 3, a definite classic! So our 18th Anniversary is in a couple of weeks so I am going to give him this card! I am certain he will love it!
To make the jellyrolls at the bottom, I stamped the polka-dot border in white and drew in the swirls with my Real Red Stampin Write Marker. I used the black marker to add the small words so it would all fit on a card front. Easy peasy!
I then thought, I've really got something here...maybe I can keep this going with some great lines/quotes. As the words are certainly the focus, I kept the rest of the cards, simple and clean so as to not take away from the sayings...So, here is what followed:
Need I say more? New washi tape and I also used the new in color, Watermelon wonder!
What self-respecting card-maker would not put some bling on a card that says, Totes Adorbs?! :)
And finally, my masterpiece...a card I have in the mail to my Bestie! This is another movie quote from probably my favorite movie, We're The Millers. The movie is raunchy and irreverent, but I love it! Know this one? I giggle every time I think about it! :)
and the inside..
I hope you've enjoyed my first few cards using the new catalog stuff!! Hop on over to the FABULOUS Deborah's Blog for more!
