So when I saw this sketch I knew I loved it and I have had snowflakes on my mind lately. I didn't however, plan on the fact that I had trouble coming up with a card that I loved! It took a couple attempts and the first one was not pretty--but as in all things--I took a step away and when I came back was thrilled with the outcome. SO much so I had a little dance party all by myself and even posted it to Social media:
I mean there is no one to celebrate when you love the card you made and so I had a little dance party with goofy selfies to celebrate! ;) Besides, I've been known to have a selfie battle with my good friend, Kimberly VanDiepen!! I gotta stay sharp!
So here is my card. I found it a bit tricky to get a good pic of this card to truly capture how pretty and vivid the colors are: Gold, Gold Glimmer, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss.
The contrast of the gold glimmer words and the gold foil paper with the snowflakes embossed in gold are really fun and add some great texture and dimension!
The other thing I did to add some dimension is I stamped the background with my Hardwood Background stamp using Versamark (so it was subtle). LOVE IT!
I was frustrated that my photos were not as nice as I wanted so I just held it up and took this shot in my classroom and I actually think it is one of the best ones to see all the details of the gold with some shimmer!
