SO I have really been getting into these challenge sites. It is kind of fun to have some paramenters (and I find it helps when I have a mojo problem! ;)
I have to admit, I am partial to the Global Design Project, as it is the brain-child of my dear Aussie friends, Louise and Kylie, but I've found a few other challenges that I have enjoyed, too!
OH MY GOSH, the new set, Botanical Blooms, from next month's Occasions Catalog, should just be called Dena's Favorite flower set!! I absolutely love it! It is so much fun and I can't wait to spend more time playing with it!! This card I whipped out for the GDP sketch challenge this week. I just love the sketch--simple and classy--just like me! ;)
The white panel was created with the Tags and Labels framelits and I cut the "fancy " end--and left the rest without. I'll post a video of it in the next few days to show you how!
Of course my FAVORITE part of this card is the flower!! It is an amazing set of stamps and coordinating framelits that create this gorgeous bloom. The flower is So Saffron with Tangerine Tango sponged in the center, under the black framelit piece. SO cute!! The leaves are cut out and stamped in old olive. Love the look of those veins! Just can't wait to get going with this awesome set! (oh and the printed paper coordinates, too!!)
Oh how I love this adorable, clean, simple sketch!! Thanks so much for sharing this, SIP!! I had my Snow Place set out while I was working on yesterday's post and I thought it would be fun to play with...
ADORBS, right? I love the sweet sayings that come in this set and I thought they were perfect for some silly penguins! I started by stamping the greeting (usually the last thing I do!)
The angles of the penguins make for a fun card--and go perfectly with the greeting, dontcha think? Super sweet, too!
Keeping my card simple, I did the background with the Softly Falling embossing folder, added the flags (cut with the banner punch) in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and that's it!
When I saw this sketch, I thought this set was a dead ringer! Bloomin' Love will also be in the upcoming Occasions Catalog and features a beautiful set with coordinating thinlits. They are absolutely beautiful!! The colors are really soft and understated, but the black really punches up everything!
Just some simple stamping, a few diecuts and some pearls. Can't beat that for simplicity!
I think the super sweet part is the banner--it is a framelit from another set--one that will truly rule--but coordinates with several things coming up. I oh so love it when stuff goes, don't you!? Hold onto your hats--this is going to be an awesome catalog!
I am not going to post any of the "new" things in my supply list (cause they are not available yet). But just wait--come Jan 5 we will be rocking things SU Style!

Welcome to the OSAT Blog Hop! I am so thrilled you stopped by The Creativity Cave! Whether this is your first stop or you are joining me from Renee's awesome blog, thanks for being here! Our theme this month is Thank You's and this is a great way to send a thoughtful card to people who you've spent time with over the holidays, to give thanks for gifts, and remember those who you help you thoroghout the year!
I have 2 adorable projects to share with you today, and I have a video for each, too! They both are really quite quick to make and that is awesome, too!
The first video is a quick one to show how easy it is to color the birds (just check it out--I have a great tip on how I did it in there)
The background is done by brayering on the Woodland embossing folder (check out a video on how here) This card is actually using one of the left over pieces from the Halloween card in the video! :) The greeting from this card is from the set, One Big Meaning, one of my fav's!
The birds are colored with a Cherry Cobbler marker (and the video on this card shows a quick way of doing it!) The white panel is 2 1/2 x 4" and then I ripped the edges of cherry cobbler sticking out behind the white layer. Super quick and easy! I love that! It is the perfect card for all your Holiday Thanks-you's!
Ok, how stinking cute is this one?? I just love it!! First of all, I made a sweet little girl snowman (snow girl!) And the card is super quick to make! Wait till you see the inside!!!!!
The card is Rose Red with a Crumb Cake layer on top. I stamped and cut out my sweet little Snow Girl on white and the snow bank is a 1 3/4 x 4" piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. The snowflakes are stamped in white on the crumb cake layer (love that look, too!!)
LOOK HOW CUTE SHE IS!!!! Can you tell I am in love?! The bow is glue-dotted on. I added some rhinestone buttons (cause a snow girl likes bling, right?)
Then you open it up and see all this!!!!! Hee hee! I hope you think it is as adorable as I do!

Thank you so much for joining us on The Creation Station Blog Hop!! Whether you are joining us from the AMAZING Kimberly Van Diepen or this is your first stop, I am so glad you are here at The Creativity Cave! This month's Theme is Christmas (no surprise!). I think my post should be called all that's gold and glitters!
This month's selected sets were Embellished Ornaments and Peaceful Pines with the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack. Yes, please! I have just loved working with all things gold and glimmery (or to be honest all things glimmery) this Holiday Season! The gold vellum is perfect with the gold glimmer paper and I made great use of it in today's post!
My first card uses the Embellished Ornaments, and I'll admit I have hardly used this set, but oh my gosh! What was I waiting for?? It s absolutely beautiful and I am really loving how my card turned out!
I stamped the ornament in Soft Sky ink on white cardstock and cut it out with the framelit. I also cut an ornament with the Vellum and then cut the ornament topper thingy plus the beautiful little poinsettia-lookin center in gold glimmer. I figured it would be a little extra shimmer to bring out the vellum.
I popped it up on a Pear Pizzazz layer that I stamped a few Holly Branches on (both full-strength and stamped off) and added the greeting at the bottom. For a little extra punch, I added a SUPER skinny layer of mossy meadow cardstock and popped that up on the Soft Sky card. BEEEEEAUTIFUL!!
For the Peaceful Pines card, I went back to my Advent Calendar Tags (check out the post on those). I have loved them and never could pick my favorite so I thought I'd just start with one and go from there. I decided my favorite tree is the one that is little speckles, so I stamped them across my Pear Card. I then cut a 2x4" vellum and vanilla piece and punched them with my Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
To create the tree, I die-cut the large tree in pear and gold glimmer, then ran the pear tag through a second time with the little strings of dots thinlit. It pokes the little holes and allows just a touch of the gold glimmer tree to show through when layered together!!! LOVE THAT! I added a snowflake and a greeting at the bottom. One more thing--I thought it may be pretty to put a little peek of gold glimmer along the side of my card, so I trimmed just a sliver (like between 1/8 and 1/16" off the front of my card and then glued in a skinny strip of the gold glimmer paper down. I just love how it looks!!

To show you how easy these tags are, I have an awesome video showcasing my projects. The photos that follow highlight the tags from the video.
These tags are so quick and easy to create. Just Punch, Stamp, Stick, and tie!
All the tags I used today start as a 4 1/4 x 2" piece of cardstock--you can get 10 out of one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock.
I used the largest snowflake, stamped it in white ink and then punched the larger of the two snowflakes with the silver glimmer paper. Then added the Merry Christmas and a silver bow to finish it off!
Want an easy Christmas Card? Just add to a Folded Card! I used one of the smaller stamps in this set to randomly stamp the background. Imagine how you will impress your friends with this adorable (and super easy) card!
These tags are also very simple. 3 Snowflakes, 3 colors one tag. Add some bling and tie the bow and you are done! Best yet--all you need to do is adhere it to a half sheet of folded cardstock for a PERFECT card! Even Easier than the last one! I love the best part is how these projects work perfectly for either tags or for cards! Talk about versatility! Nailed it!
On this tag, I stepped up things a bit. I added in our Snowflake Elements--they are adorbale wooden laser cut snowflake embellishements. I adhered it to my tag with a glue dot. I also stamped some snowflakes in white ink on my vellum cardstock and punched it with the Snow Flurry Punch.
...of course I couldn't stop with just the tag...
Adorable card: Check!
Insanely quick packaging: DOUBLE check!!
This is a cardboard box. I wrapped some of the silver cording around it a few times and tied a knot. I added the tag on top. That's it...seriously!! The curl of the cording is from the spool it comes on--it wasn't even some fancy thing I did! Now that is what I call gift wrapping!

I love all these challenges, and I think I happen to hit them all with this one card (that I love, I may add)!!
Check out how cute this is!! I combined the Hello December with the Confetti Star Border Punch and the Greetings Thinlits to make this adorable, yet very simple card!
3 Trees stamped in Whisper White on a Crumb Cake Base. A few touches of Glimmer Gold paper and that's it!
Isn't it adorable?!
I layered the Crumb Cake on some Real Red with just a skinny peek of color, popped it up on a layer of Old Olive and mounted that to the Crumb Cake Card. Viola! Super Cute and Super Quick (my fav!) Now there is time for a glass of wine! :) Just kidding! I have 2 orders to make tonight! Better not drink or there will be smudges! ;)

I just love the open-ended challenges!! I wanted to do some "white" watercoloring--where you heat-emboss an image in white and then color it in. It is so stinkin pretty and I really love the look. This is an awesome card I made with the beautiful set, Reason for the Season and To you and yours for the Greeting.
I love the simplicity of this beautiful card. I embossed the poinsettia in white ink and then colored it in with pool party and bermuda bay inks. The leaves are old olive. Simple and pretty--my favorite style! The poinsettia was done on watercolor paper and then punched with the 2 1/2" circle punch. I layered it on the scallop circle (from the Floral Frames Collection Framelits) and the pretty texture is a result of the Faux Suede Technique. I LOVE that!!
The Card is done in Pool Party with the greeting (from To You and Yours) stamped in white at the bottom (it is very hard to get a decent pic of white ink on a light-colored background). I added some silver vellum cut in a flag and put the adhesive behind the dots of silver.
Thank you so much for stopping by The Creativity Cave--I hope loved my card! As always, I would love to help your creativity grow!
