Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! I am so excited to have you stop by The Creativity Cave! Welcome! Whether you are just joining me from Pam's awesome blog or this is your first stop, I am thrilled to have you here! This month's Theme is a great one: Shabby Chic!! I just love the theme and I think my projects are perfect for this theme! I just received my pre-order of the Thoughtful Branches Stamp set from Stampin Up. It will be available for everyone to purchase August 2nd, just for the month of August. I am soooooo loving it, too! It is an absolutely amazing set--and best yet--it has coordinating framelits! What could be better? How about getting it at a discount? This month for every $50 you spend, you'll get a $5 coupon to use next month. Better yet--no limit to the number you can earn and they can all be combined to redeem at the same time! YAY! Now, onto the projects!!!!
I created a card and a coordinating hydrangia pot. The cool part is it will fold flat so you can mail it! The bad part is I had a hard time getting a good pic of it, so make sure you watch the video to see it a bit better!
Gather your supplies:
- 1/2 sheet Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
- 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 Crumb Cake
- Strip of Very Vanilla (3/4" wide)
- scraps of Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum
- Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White Pads
- Brick Wall Embossing FOlder
- Diagonal Lines Background Stamp
- Linen Thread
- Pearls
First of all, do you love the color combo???
So for my card, I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card, stamped the background and then embossed the Crumb Cake panel. I then brushed the white pad directly over the embossing, so it would highlight the bricks. I stamped the Hydrangia in Sweet Sugarplum and cut it out. I crumpled it up and cut a second flower in Rich Razzleberry, crumpled it up and added them off-set from one another on the card. I added the stems, greeting (popped up) and the linen thread. Embellished with tiny pearls...that's it!
Super easy!
For the Hydrangia Pot, I used the Popcorn Box Thinlits. For my VIP Rewards Members, I made a video of how to create the pot, with lots of tips--be sure to check that out on our VIP Page. If you are not a VIP, make sure you become one! Just need to place an order through my Online Store to become a VIP! Yay!
Do you love this??? I do, too! This is truly a gorgeous set, and I love that there are so many possibilities with this versatile set! As I mentioned in the video, during the month of July, for every $50 you spend, you earn a $5 coupon toward a purchase in August, and GUESS when this set is available? That's right: Just during the month of August!! You can see all the details on the special by clicking the pic below. The set is not listed in my supplies (as it is not available until August 2nd, 2016), but add it to your wish list. It is called Thoughful Branches.
